What we store in your browser, and why.
Last updated: 15 April 2026
This policy describes cookies and similar browser-storage technologies (localStorage, sessionStorage) used on truckbahi.com and app.truckbahi.com. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. We also use similar client-side storage — localStorage and sessionStorage — which work like cookies but stay in your browser until cleared. In this policy we use the word “cookie” to cover all of these.
2. How we categorise cookies
We split cookies into four buckets:
- Strictly necessary — required for the Platform to function (login, security, language). You cannot switch these off.
- Preferences — remember your choices so the Platform feels right on the next visit.
- Analytics — help us understand which pages are used and where people get stuck, in aggregate. Only set with your consent.
- Marketing — measure the effectiveness of our outreach. Only set with your consent. We do not run third-party advertising on the marketing site today, but we describe the category here in case that changes.
3. Cookies we currently use
Strictly necessary
sb-access-token,sb-refresh-token— set by Supabase to keep you signed in on app.truckbahi.com. Session cookies, HTTP-only, Secure.tb_csrf— a per-session token we use to protect against CSRF attacks on form submissions.tb_cookie_consent— stores your choice from the cookie banner so we do not ask again. Expires after 12 months.
Preferences
tb_org— remembers the last organisation you opened when you have access to more than one.tb_locale— remembers your language (English or Hindi).
Analytics (only with consent)
- Plausible / PostHog — privacy-friendly page and event analytics. We record aggregated metrics (page views, feature clicks, error counts) and do not link them to your name or phone.
Marketing (only with consent)
We may, in future, use first-party cookies to measure which source brought you to TruckBahi (WhatsApp campaign, blog post, referral link). We do not run third-party retargeting pixels on the marketing site today. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for consent again.
4. Third-party cookies
Some pages include content from third parties (for example, a Google Maps embed on the home page footer). Those providers may set their own cookies when you interact with their content. We do not control those cookies. You can review each provider's policy on their site.
5. Your choices
a. The cookie banner
On your first visit, we show a banner asking you to accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or review categories. Your choice is stored in tb_cookie_consent for 12 months. You can change it any time by clicking “Cookie settings” in the footer.
b. Browser controls
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their privacy settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, the Platform will not work (you will not be able to log in).
c. Do Not Track
We respect the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends GPC, we treat it as a rejection of analytics and marketing cookies by default.
6. How long cookies last
- Session cookies are deleted when you close the browser.
- Persistent cookies stay for the period listed against each cookie above, or until you delete them.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when we add or remove cookies. When we make material changes, we will re-request your consent through the banner.
